Terms of Service
Last updated September 2026
These terms govern your use of Statemently. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Security & Data Handling page.
The service
Statemently extracts transactions from bank statements you upload and lets you review, edit and export them. You are responsible for having the right to upload the statements you process, and for reviewing the results before relying on them.
Accuracy & “as is” nature
Statemently uses automated extraction and validation to maximize accuracy, and flags data it is not confident about. However, automated conversion of arbitrary documents can never be guaranteed perfect. You must review extracted data before using it for accounting, tax, lending, or any other decision. Statemently is provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Statemently is a data-conversion tool and does not provide financial, accounting, tax or legal advice.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Notify us of any unauthorized use. You must be legally able to enter into these terms and must not use the service for unlawful purposes.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload documents you have no right to process.
- Do not attempt to breach security, disrupt the service, or abuse rate limits.
- Do not use the service to violate any applicable law or third-party rights.
Plans, billing & limits
Free and paid plans have usage limits (such as statements per month and pages per statement) described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment provider and renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access to paid features continues until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
Your data
You retain ownership of your statements and their extracted data. You grant us the limited rights needed to process and store that data to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your statements and data at any time.
Service availability & changes
We aim for reliable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, add or remove features, and may modify these terms; for material changes we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Statemently is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on extracted data that you did not verify. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the acceptable-use rules.
